Nestled in the charming village of Le Bourg, Daglan, L'Annexe by Fabrice Le Chef is a culinary gem that masterfully blends traditional French flavors with a relaxed grillhouse atmosphere. Specializing in hearty grills and rustic fare, this inviting eatery offers an authentic taste of the Dordogne with a delightful twist.
Patrons rave about the expertly prepared bavette steaks, succulent and richly flavored, their robust juiciness complemented by expert seasoning that showcases the quality of the meat. The fish and chips here have garnered particular acclaim, with Jill Meeres calling them the best in France—a crispy, golden batter perfectly encasing tender, flaky fish that melts on the palate. The menu also includes seafood delicacies such as crevettes and oysters, alongside refined options like foie gras, ensuring a varied and memorable dining experience for all tastes.
The atmosphere is wonderfully informal and welcoming, echoing the essence of leisurely French country dining. Guests can choose cozy indoor seating warmed by a glowing log burner on chilly evenings or enjoy the charming outdoor picnic benches set amid a pretty garden, complete with warm rugs as the sun dips low. This seamless blend of comfort and rustic charm creates an inviting space where conversations flow easily and every visit feels special.
Service at L’Annexe is consistently praised for its warmth and attentiveness. Fabrice and his team go above and beyond, creating a friendly environment where nothing is too much trouble, whether you’re indulging in a full meal or simply savoring a perfectly crafted cocktail. We have eaten here on a few occasions and have no problem recommending this restaurant. We live in Saint Cybranet so just up the road. I think their fish and chips are the best I’ve had in France and my husband loves the sate. Service is always excellent and nothing is too much trouble. We hope to take our Grandsons for Pizza this evening. I shall be having fish and chips of course!!!

Excellent little restaurant. If you want a drink or a full meal or just a perfect pizza or burger. Fabrics has spent the winter making many improvements to access and the internal and external seating. Lovely warm log burner for those chilly spring evenings. He even supplied a lovely warm rugs for outside seating when the sun dropped.

Lovely informal rustic eatery. Some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor picnic benches in a pretty garden setting. Bavette steaks were excellent and great cheese board. Good drink selection and friendly service. Order at bar. Kids menu. We came here not sure what to expect but really enjoyed food and setting. Reasonably priced. Good for families. Parking nearby. Specials blackboard near the door. We were advised it’s now open Wednesday to Sunday evenings for rest of season.

We always try to eat here 3 or 4 times when we are staying near Daglan. The food never fails to be delicious and the atmosphere very informal. Crevettes, huitres, foie gras to name but a few.

Beautiful food and a great experience for the family. Despite it's location being near a fairly busy road (in Dordogne terms!) we didn't hear any road noise. The menu was very good, filled with traditional French food and some pizzas available for our kids. Really well priced and the cocktails are great too! Highly recommended, will definitely be visiting again next week!

I had a tremendous time at L'Annexe by Fabrice Le Chef with great local food, drink and a friendly atmosphere! I had the cheeseburger which was very tasty and a local IPA from Bergerac! The service was great and good value! I will definitely be visiting again!

We ate here several times in late May 2025..I could not say enough good things about the quality of the food, the atmosphere (we ate outside) and the service and friendly nature of our exemplary hosts..Thank you both for wonderful meals.
